GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

 

THEME: PRIMARY HEALTH CARE AS A MEANS OF ACHIEVING UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE

DATES: 26th and 27th July, 2018. 

VENUE: David Livingstone Royal Safari, LIVINGSTONE. 

Deadline for submission of abstracts is 20th May, 2019. 

All abstracts should be submitted in via e-mail to zambiamedicalassociation@gmail.com   with the title “Abstract Submission Name of Main Author” and should have a cover letter addressed to the ZMA Secretary General with the following details:

6. Declaration

  1. All original papers must be accompanied by a declaration stating that the abstract represents work done originally by the authors and has not been submitted for publication to any journal.
  2. All abstracts must be accompanied by a declaration of all sources of funding. In this regard, all authors must disclose any financial relationship to the work in submitted for consideration.

7. Support documents:

All abstract submissions should include curriculum vitae for the key investigators involved in the paper submitted. 


Abstract Format: 

The abstract should be informative and completely self-explanatory, briefly present the topic, state the scope of the discourse, indicate significant data, and point out major findings and conclusions. The Abstract should not exceed 500 words in length. Complete sentences, active verbs, and the third person should be used, and the abstract should be written in the past tense. Standard nomenclature should be used and abbreviations should be avoided. No literature should be cited. The abstract must be structured and formatted into the following headings: 

  • Introduction/ Background 
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions 

 

NOTE:

  • Only abstract submissions meeting these guidelines will be considered. 
  • An e-mail reply to acknowledge receipt of an abstract will be sent within 48hrs.
